Cricket
Shadwell Cricket Club has been the sporting focal point of the community
for more than a century. Over half the cricket played at the club is at
junior level through four junior sides at U11, U13, U15 and U17 level.
The junior cricket is subsidised and administered in accordance with ECB
policies. The club has strong links with local schools, Yorkshire County
Cricket Club, Leeds City Council and the YCCC Development Officer. They
run summer coaching camps for juniors and are heavily involved in the
Shadwell Community Bonfire. Many of the club's senior players came
through the junior ranks.
The Cricket ground is situated on Brandon Crescent just off Tarn Lane.
More info on the Shadwell Cricket Club website.
Football
Shadwell United is a junior football club with several squads including U9, U10, U12 and U14 teams playing in the Garforth Junior League. Some of the squads train at Shadwell Primary School.

Bridge
Shadwell Bridge Club meets most Friday evenings in the Village Hall to play duplicate pairs
contract bridge. They formed over three years ago and currently enjoy
about six tables per session. It is a friendly club and you will be made
very welcome whatever your standard. They don't run teaching sessions so
you will need to know how to play the game, but you don't have to have
played in a club before: you quickly get used to
it. They are not members of the EBU.
If you are interested please contact

website Contacts page. Arrive at 7.15 pm (for 7.30 start).
