Village Hall

It can be hired for parties, wedding receptions and dinners for up to 100 people.

The Hall runs a lottery called the 150 Club, where members pay £5 per year with the chance to win cash prizes. There are three prizes each month and bonus prizes every Summer and Christmas.

Allotments

Image of allotments Rhubarb, rhubarb, rhubarb. All fruit and vegetables taste better when you've grown them yourself, and picked them fresh from the ground.

Shadwell has six small allotments behind the Recreation Centre on Holywell Lane, managed by Shadwell Parish Council. The land was cleared and improved in 2002, and has mains water, rabbit protection and a land drain. There is a lot of camaraderie amongst the allotmenteers, coordinating supplies of manure, swapping plants, and holding a Summer BBQ. They also supply compost to Shadwell In Bloom, and some of the produce is exhibited at Shadwell Flower Show.
